The West defeated the East 122 -109 with Charles Barkley of the Seattle SuperSonics taking home the Most Valuable Player Award. Barkley scored 17 points, pulled down 12 rebounds, and dished out 9 assists. Hakeem Olajuwon of the Phoenix Suns followed up with 22 points, 7 rebounds, and 3 blocked shots in the win.

Michael Jordan of the Toronto Raptors led the East with 14 points, 9 assists, 8 rebounds, and added 3 steals. Larry Nance of the New York Knicks contributed 25 points, 9 rebounds, and 2 blocked shots in the loss.
