League Rules

Welcome to The Decades Budget League

League Premise:
-A 16 team league of NFL Franchises.
-Budget style drafting.
-No Owner will repeat building a franchise until he has used all.

Initial Season
-A random draft will be held to chose franchise used for first season.
-All subsequent drafts will be in reverse order of finish. (League champion drafts last. Runner up 15th. The rest reverse order of reg season finish.

Season Play
- 21 game schedule
-2 Conferences. NFC and AFC
-2 Divisions in each conference.
-4 teams per division

-Playoffs
-8 teams total. 4 per conference
-Division winners plus 2 W.C in each conference.
-WC are the 2 teams with the best record not division winners.
-Division winners are home team. Best record in conference #1 seed. Other division winner is #2 seed.
-All tie breakers are H2H first. If still tied, best conference record. If 2 teams are tied and are in same division then best division record breaks first tie. (In case more than 2 teams are tied for a WC. Must break tie within division first) Final tie breaker is P.C. power ranking).

Games
-Each team will play division opponents 3 times. =9 games
-Each team plays other division teams 2 times. = 8 games.
-Each team plays four out of conference games =4 games. Total 21 games.
-Commissioner will manually create schedule each season.

Budget Style Draft
-275 AV budget

Budget Bonus
-Champ gets a 10AV Bonus the following season when drafting new team.
-Division winners and Super Bowl runner up get 5 AV Bonus the following season. (If runner up was a division winner bonus is 5 AV max. No double bonus. This way if a WC makes the title game they get at least a 5 AV bonus. If WC wins title the total bonus is 10 AV. No bonus bigger than 10 AV.
This bonus is for the following season only and does not carry over to a 3rd season.

-Following Seasons

Season 2 the player pool will be 1970-1979
Season 3 the player pool will be 1980-1989
Season 4 the player pool will be 1990-1999
Season 5 the player pool will be 2000-2009
Season 6 the player pool will be 2010-2020
Season 7 the player pool will be 2016-2025
Season 8 the player pool will be 1970 2025 (same as season 1 plus 2025)
season 9 will start over at season 2 and continue.

-remember
Remember not to draft the same franchise you had last year. Ravens owner may not draft Baltimore Colts. I know it's the same franchise but it keeps it things simple. Titans can't draft Oilers. Indy Colts may not draft Baltimore Colts. Technically they are different franchises, (Colts) but again let's try and keep this aspect simple. Commanders owners may not draft Redskins.

-Other rules may follow as needed.
