La Cosa Nostra Basketball League
Rules & Regulations
• Fees:
o $20
o Fees include unlimited Trades
• Draft:
o There will be 12 rounds of the draft
o Order was selected and posted.
o Each team will have 3 minutes to pick, select year and select position. (see Positions)
o If team does not pick within the time limit, team will forfeit pick and that round’s pick will go to the end of the draft.
• Leagues/Divisions/Playoffs:
o We will have 1 league & 1 division.
o Top 4 records will make playoffs.
o Best record will be #1 Seed, with the other 3 falling in order.
o 1st seed will play 4th seed; 2nd seed will play 3rd seed.
o Highest seed will have home court advantage.
• Roster Rules:
o Roster Size 15
o Max Active Players 15
o Clear Roster When Owner Quits: Yes
o Trades Per Season: Unlimited
o Keepers 7
• Injury & Fatigue Settings:
o Max Injury Length 6
• Players:
o Historical Stats Range: 1900 – 2022
o All Players that are in Basketball Reference will be allowed.
• Positions:
o We will follow Basketball Reference regarding to positioning, we will also allow the game’s positioning allowances.
 Point Guard: PG / SG
 Shooting Guard: PG / SG / SF
 Small Forward: SG / SF / PF
 Power Forward: SF / PF / C
 Center: PF / C
o In Basketball Reference: Some players are listed as 2 Positions.
 When these players are drafted, one of those positions must be selected as the main position.
o In Basketball Reference: A few players are listed with 3 - 5 Positions.
 These players must have the main position picked, and then will follow the game’s positioning allowances.
• Season Run:
o Games will run two nights a week.
o First night we will see how many we can run a night, there is a lot more detail to manage.
o Days Off: Formula will follow as this:
