League Rules
"From the Outhouse to the Penthouse"
*10 team league, 2 Divisions, 2 Wild Card from each division.
*Playoff Format is Best of 7 (2-3-2) for all play off series. (Play-In Tiebreaker Game will be played to settle ANY tie, Divisional or Wild Card) (2 PC Days off granted prior to start of each series.)
*Classic Progression league (Players progress through Age 29, stay at that point, and begin regressing at the Age 32 season.)
*Retirement Age of 40 or when the player ranking dips below 75 in his after retirement age. There are players that played with good stats well into their 40's. Any owner that wishes to keep their HOF player at retirement, has the choice to let him go or reboot him and bring him back as a rookie. If you choose to reboot the HOF player, he will not be reliable for stud progression until his second year in the league.
*Yearly stat changes option will be available after progression each year. This rule will be available starting at the beginning of season 2. You will have to submit me a list of any players you want to use this option. Any questions on this rule, please contact me.
*Each owner will select a franchise, only one owner may choose a particular franchise. First come, first serve.
*25/15 Rosters
*Player Pool of 1900-2005 (it'll make sense later)
* 3 Rd Supplemental Draft first season only.
* You may import from either you Grim or Unpredictable years for the first 3 years. Year 4 you may import from any of your eligible years imported.
*Minimum 25 AB/10 IP for initial import and new teams into the league. All players under 100 AB/ 75 SP IP / 25 RP IP will have their stats doubled prior to their first progression. Import minimums will be 75 AB/ 40 SP IP/20 RP IP.
As for rookies, owners should request them with a limit of one per season, at least 90 percent of the minimum, so 70/36/18. This rule is to prevent owners from missing out on a player who would not be available the following year for whatever the reason.
*5 Man Rotation.
*Slump Buster is On. 5 day maximum.
*Injuries are 10 games maximum for all players.
*No All-Stars
*Day 130 - Trade Deadline
*Trading is Allowed. (Max 5 per season)
*Park Effects may be edited each off-season.
*Stud Progression: One player per season. Stud progression is the option to move your player (Forward Only) to his best stat year. Remember if you move him forward 3 seasons, you loose those years. This means if he is 23 in 1950 and you want to move him 3 years to 1953, he will be 26. Again, you loose those 3 seasons. Again, you can't move them backwards. It is a progression not a regression.
*Position Changes will be allowed as far as to a Secondary for position players. Remember, you can use a player at his secondary position on his card with no loss of dwar. Pitcher roles will not be changed, except for the follow situations only. If you use a stud progression, the pitchers position will be changed to what he is the year you stud progress him too. Meaning if you're the '93 Dodgers and you import RP Pedro Martinez, he's a RP for good. If you stud progress him, his position will change to what ever he is in that year. So if you progress him to 1995, he is a starter that year, so now becomes a starter.
This rule applies to any player, pitcher or position player.
You will select your Inaugural team by selecting 3 team years from your franchise's history:
: ) The Looking Good(.500-.550 WPct, roughly 81-89 Wins)
: - The Unpredictable (.401-.499 WPct, roughly 65-80 Wins)
: ( The Grim (.400 or lower, roughly 64 or fewer Wins)
*A franchise can still be selected even if it doesn't have a season in franchise history below .400. But that "Grim" season MUST be among the franchise's bottom 3 all-time Win Pct."
*You will receive all importable players from all 3 years. Necessary cuts will then be made.
*Duplicate players will be allowed.
**No duplicate player may appear on the same roster however. No matter what their years or teams of origin may be.
*Imports. Following Season 1, you will then receive imports. Each owner may choose the season following from any of the season's you selected in season one. Each following season, you may continue down the path you're on, or choose from the other.
This is why the cutoff is at 2005 (leaving 15 additional seasons at worst, expecting to not complete 13 seasons by the time 2019 and 2020 stats are available.)
Some leagues use fictional player progression. To learn more about how players progress, check the Player Potential page.
