League Rules

NUMBER AND COMPOSITION OF TEAMS
~This is a 20 team league. There will be two 10-team divisions.
~Owners will choose 2 different franchises from 1970. One (1) AL team and One (1) NL team.
~Order will be determined randomly by draft order from pennantchase.com.
~The first season will use 1970 players.
~Your original 1970 team will also include a team of your choice from 1935 or 1950.

FUTURE ROOKIES
~Each team will receive it's rookies each season with at least 50 AB and 25 IP.
~For the initial draft, if a player played for multiple teams in 1970 and meets the qualifying minimum for each team, he will go to the first team who makes the selection regardless of the comparative number of AB or IP accumulated while playing for the various teams.
~In subsequent years, rookies will be awarded to the team with the highest number of AB or IP during his inaugural season.
~1980 will have a draft from 1920 Ballplayers
~1990 will have a draft from 1905 Ballplayers
~2000 will have a draft from 1890 Ballplayers
~All players that are not in league due to team not being in league from 1971 to 2024 will be entered into a Supplemental Draft for each season. Worst to First draft.

RANDOM PROGRESSION
~Random Progression will be used with all players being progressed as U (unpredictable)

STAT CHANGES
~The league will begin in 1970.
~You will be able to change any original roster from 1965 to 1970.
~Players may have their stats changed to the current season.
~Minimum stat levels for season changes are 50 IP and 100 AB.

POSITION CHANGE
~A max of 2 SP can be converted to RP per year (Pitch Count will be dropped to 40 PC if over 80 PC)
~Any SP that has over 10 complete games and under 100 pitch count can be changed to 110 pitch count
~Position Change for players, must have played that position in there career. (2 max per year)

FREE AGENTS
~Initial season will not have any free agents.
~Each season thereafter will keep free agents till the age of 40.
~To acquire a free agents you must pursue him through the waiver wire.
~Last Place to First Place on waiver and only 1 allowed per day.

ROSTER SIZE/CONTRACTS
~There will be 25 players on the active major league roster.
~There will be an additional 10 players on the minors roster.
~Contracts will not be used.

FORCED RETIREMENTS
~Players over 42 will retire. They may play during their aged-42 season.

TRADES
~Each team will be limited to 5 trades.

PLAYER PROGRESSION
~Players will progress until age 30 and will begin regressing at age 33.

ALL-STARS
~The CPU will select the all-stars at day 85.

PLAYOFFS
~2 Division Winners and 2 Wild Card Teams, 2 (AL) 2 (NL)
-Wild Card vs Division Winner 7 Game Series Both Leagues
-Winners Both Leagues Play 7 Game Series
-Playoff Rest will be 1 day of start of each series.
-Playoff Rest also includes 1 day for each travel day.

TIEBREAKERS
~1. Head-to-Head Results
~2. 1 game playoff as many as needed

SIMS SCHEDULE
~SIMS will be about every 3 hours

TEAM LOGOS & STADIUM
~Team Logos will be taken care by me, I will keep them up to date with the current season.
~Park Name may be changed during the off season to any stadium your team has played in, you may also alter the park dimensions during the off season.

OTHER INFORMATION:
~5-man rotations
~Pitchers max injury (10 games)
~Other players max injury (10 games)
~Player Fatigue will be used.
~Pitcher HR allowed will be used.
~The surprise bunts will be balanced.
~Slump Buster will be used. (10 day max)
~Pitchers must face a minimum of 3 batters.
~There will be a waiver wire.
~Contracts will not be used.

HOW TEAMS FROM 1935 & 1940 WILL BE ADDED:
~AL team and NL team record will determine the 1935/1950 team draft will happen.
~Worst to First in AL (only a NL team from 35 or 50)
~Worst to First in NL (only a AL team from 35 or 50)
~Just in case if we have teams with same win/loss record we will combine win/loss record vs teams in question.
~(In case of 35/50 doubles 1935 gets player)
~NO DOUBLES OF PLAYERS WILL BE USED.
