League Rules
Season 16FREE AGENT POOL: yes
DRAFT: 1968, Quick Draft
AFTER THE 26-man roster is filled. Opening Day begins.
FREE AGENTS/DROPS: yes
ROSTER: You must have 26 players on the major league roster. Limit 10 in the minors. Be very mindful of having enough backups in every position in the event of injury. Make sure to have at least 5 starting pitchers and 5 relievers. Make sure your starting pitchers have more than 125 IP when you draft. If they have less than this, the AI bars you from using them as starters. They can only be used in the bullpen. The minor league roster will be capped at 10. You can have a four man starting rotation. But fill five slots. If your ace is rested, he will start.
INJURIES/FATIGUE: Injuries are limited to six games for hitters and six games pitchers. Fatigue is off for position players, so you never have to sub unless there is an injury or you want a better defender late in the game. But pitchers must rest; they do fatigue; you must have a 5-man rotation.
TRADES: On
SEASON: 162 games, three-game series. Sim covers 3 games in morning and 3 more in the afternoon. I will notify you of any change on the Facebook page.
POST SEASON: Two teams will qualify for the division playoff in each division for a best-of-seven series. The third- and fourth-place finishers in a division will face each other in a one-game wildcard. The wildcard winner plays the second-place team in a seven-game playoff round. The division winner gets a bye. The winner of each division's playoff will face each other in the World Series (best of seven). The home team in post-season games is decided by the regular season's best record, power ranking in the stats menu, or run differential, in that order. Run differential is Runs Scored Minus Runs Allowed. In all post-season games, they are played as follows for the highest-ranked team: 2 games home, 3 games away, 2 games home
AFTER WORLD SERIES: After the World Series, the Commissioner will archive stats, make awards, and clear all rosters. No players can be signed or kept. The World Series champ gets to choose next season's database, draft and season length.
Some leagues use fictional player progression. To learn more about how players progress, check the Player Potential page.
