League Rules
The Vintage Baseball League Season OneLeague Rules
Players
? This league uses C progression. Players will progress until age 29 and start regressing at age 32. Players are eligible for the league if they had 90 real at-bats or pitched 20 real innings in the corresponding year. The league will start with the 1875 through 1906 rosters pre-loaded.
? Players entry level will need 90 AB and 20 IP. Any pitcher with less than 35 IP will be move to RP. Players remain with the team that they entered with until they are traded, dropped or retired. Any player dropped over 40 will be retired.
? There are no contracts in this league.
? Fatigue and injuries will not be used.
? Owners may request defensive conversions: SP can be converted to relievers with a reduced stamina or pitch count.
- Fielders may change from their primary position to their secondary position without any penalty.
Rosters
? Teams may have up to 32 players on the major league roster. There will be a maximum of 14 pitchers and 18 position players per team.
? In order for the sim to run, teams must have at least 9 pitchers and 11 position players on their major league rosters.
? There is no minor league players.
? Slump buster is limited to 5 days.
Lineups
? Starting Pitchers: This league will use a 5-man rotations.
Schedules
? All seasons will be 154 games. After the season, the top eight teams with the best records will make the play offs.. All division winners will always receive the highest seating. All playoff games will be the best of seven 2-3-2. All ties will be determined by the team differential.
? If there is a tie for a post-season spot at the end of the season, the team with the highest differential will be award the playoff spot or higher seating. No owner will face both his teams in the play-offs except for the Championship Series if both the owners teams reach the finals. Every effort will be used to keep the top seed rule in effect when moving teams around.
? Each team will be given a game off after games 2 & 5. Home field goes to the team with most wins. If there is a tie, it goes to the team with the most runs scored. 3 days off will be give before each new series.
Trades
? Trading is unlimited. New owners may not trade until they have run their team for 10 calendar days.
? Whenever an owner feels that a completed trade is unreasonable, he may request a review of the trade by sending a private message to the commissioner (within 24 hours of the trade). The commissioner will then inform the owners who made the trade so that they can explain their rationale for making the trade. The trade, as well as any explanations, will be evaluated by the commish and may be put up to a league vote. At least 4 of the other 6 owners would then have to vote no to reverse the trade.
Drops/Free Agents
? Free agents will not be available in this league
? Players may be dropped at any time.
Sims
? The sims will be be run with 3 games a day for 9 days and then 3 games in the morning and 3 more games in the late afternoon or early evening after that.
