League Rules


The USA League began as the orginal 13 colonies. After season 1, the league expanded to the first 20 states in the Union. The league will continue to add Teams/States as necessary.

I. TEAMS/ROSTERS

A. The League Schedule will consist of 152 games.

B. Each team will play a 4-Game Home and Home series with every other team.

C. Major League Roster size is 25 players

1. Positional Players (Max/Min): 15/12

2. Pitcher (Max/Min): 13/10

D. Minor League Roster size is 5 players.


II. STANDINGS

A. There will be one (1) Regular Season Champion, and the top eight (8) teams will advance to the playoffs.

B. Awards recognizing acoomplishments will be granted to:

1. Playoff Champion

2. Regular Season Champion

3. Playoff Qualifiers

C. Tie Breakers will be as follows:

1. Head-to-Head (if only 2)

2. Power Ranking


III. FREE AGENCY

A. 2-Round supplemental Draft - AFTER Day 10.

B. Free Agency Opens - AFTER Day 10 (You can fill your 25-man Major roster and 5-man Minor roster).

C. Unlimited Free Agency - AFTER Day 13 (unlimited adds/drops).

D. Free Agency will be closed AFTER Day 114.


IV. CONTRACTS

A. The League will use player contracts (maximum of 3 years).

B. Contracts can NOT be re-signed

C. A team can have a maximum of ten (10) players under contract at one time.

D. Contracts must be signed by the last day of the regular season


V. PLAYERS AND PLAYER PROGRESSION

A. This is a Player Progression League, meaning players will peak at the age of 28.

B. All Players, owned and un-owned, will retire after the age of 40. They will not be forced to retire.

C. Players who have retired will be re-introduced after one season in retirement (will re-enter with Age of 20).


VI. SCHEDULE AND PLAYOFFS

A. The Schedule will be 152 Games.

B. I will Simulate 3-games per weekday (M-R), and 4-games on weekends (F/S/S).

C. The Playoffs will be in the 5-7-7 format. Days off will be granted on travel days.


VIII. OWNERS/MANAGERS

A. Inactive owners will be removed from the league. Some examples are:

1. Any owner that has not logged into the PennantChase site within the past 14 days.

2. Any owner that has an incomplete roster (i.e. N/A positional assignments)

3. Any owner not completing off-season activities (i.e. signing contracts, drafting, etc.)


VIII. OFFSEASON

A. The Offseason will consist of the following activities:

1. Trophies and Player Awards

2. Boot inactive owners

4. Player Progression

5. Player Retirements/Rookie Creation

6. 1-Round Live Rookie Daft

7. 2-Round Live Free Agent Daft

8. Auto Draft to complete Rosters
