I have made attempts to make this league like real life: 2 leagues, one pennant winner in each league, until 1962. At the same time, I have added some characteristics to help any team be competitive:

1) 26/7 rosters: This prevents a championship team from stockpiling stars for the future. The depth they accumulate will be offered to struggling teams through waiver claims to help hasten rebuilding.
2) Unpredictable progression: Every progression is different. Even if you have been in a similar league in the past, unpredictable progression makes this league different.
3) 3 season initial imports: You start with an initial season, plus two years of imports. Also, you can stat change those players to any of those first 3 seasons. There is just so good a top team can be: this helps lesser squads close that gap.
4) Unlimited stat changing every year: if you got a raw deal through progressions, you can stat change players to their real stats.
