Welcome to the Baseball Card League!

Like a kid admiring his baseball cards, I like to play with the 1982 season. I began following baseball with a game called Statis Pro Baseball, and 1982 was the first season I had. The problem with an ordinary league is that I only get to use 1 or 2 teams, and I like more teams than that. 1982 baseball is the standard I measure present day baseball by.

As presently constructed, we will have 6 teams: 1 in each division in each of the American and National League. We will pick the AL and NL teams separately, and rather than snake it, I will use reverse order in the two leagues.

We have tried this before. The old "Gentlemen's League" worked reasonably well, but there were 2 owners I have since blocked in that. We tried it as an Andrew Jackson League -- it was very labor intensive. This will involve unpredictable progression, all your imports, and as much stat changing as your life can handle.

If 6 teams seems like too much, let me know. I did not ask Babe, as I know he has a full workload already. Duke, I think, has his hands full with the league(s) he runs. I think this is the right group, if you are ok with 6 teams.
