Draft Information:

Starting Year: 1953

I picked this year because there were a number of good teams this year, not just the Yankees. The average record of these 8 teams was 87 - 67, and only 2 teams had losing records in this first season. In season 2, the Yankees didn't even win the pennant.

Again, whichever team you are assigned, you have the option of swapping it out for an unassigned team (again, not sound logic in terms of 1953 - 2025 wins, but if it makes you happy...) or trading with someone else.

Rethought playoffs: 1 8-team division, so the best teams make the playoffs. Top 5 get a berth; 1 gets a bye until the World Series. The first round of playoffs (5 @ 2, 4 @ 3) will be best of 3. Round 2 (Wild Card Finals) will be best of 5, and the World Series best-of-7.
