Rethought playoffs: 1 8-team division, so the best teams make the playoffs. Top 5 get a berth; 1 gets a bye until the World Series. The first round of playoffs (5 @ 2, 4 @ 3) will be best of 3. Round 2 (Wild Card Finals) will be best of 5, and the World Series best-of-7.
