...the next day's starter. In less than a week , the Tigers have went from giving up the largest division lead , and then beating the Guardians in the wild card round and then beating the M's in 11 innings and now they have the likely Cy Young award winner starting tomorrow . Got to love playoff baseball , even though I'm a Mariner fan , hats off Detroit . One more thing , no more and then , yet . lol !

There have been some good, close games this round - and a couple of blowouts (Cubs, Yankees today). As I'm typing this I'm watching a 2-2 DET/SEA game coming after their 11 game yesterday. If I'm not mistaken, Seattle is the only team to never make it to the WS. Oops, back to back doubles by Dumper and Rodriguez and they have the lead !! And Seattle wins their 1st playoff game in 24 years.

What I'm really getting tired of seeing is Jrods boneheaded running gaffes. He should have stayed on 3rd instead of just giving himself up . He has been doing this all year and in the playoffs you can't give up outs. At least we're tied now which is where I thought they would be just happened opposite the way I thought it would. What scares me is that if there is a game 5 , Skubal will start but we have had his number this year.

The Phillies snapped the Dodgers 9 game winning streak - going back to the regular season, and force game 4. Unfortunate that Kershaw was the sacrificial lamb in a blowout. Robert's "White Flag" strategy is still alive and well. The Cubs stay alive, and the 1st game 5 with Skubal vs the Mariners at Seattle in a rematch. And, oh yeah, the Yankees are gone !! Couldn't really believe it until I saw the last out recorded.
