Re: Dodgers ruining baseball - agai
Baseball is a game that was made for the radio. Being a lifelong Cincinnatian I should know because WLW, the home of the most powerful radio tower in the country, made the Reds the franchise they were before TV took over as the dominant entertainment medium. I would go to more games if decent tickets were around $30, beer cost $5.00 and parking cost $10 but everythng costs twice of what I think is reasonable to watch a baseball game. I will go to a college basketball, college football or even high school basketball / football games before I would go to a ballpark and drop $200 to take my wife and I to a MLB baseball game.
The best sporting events I have ever been to was going to the A-10 Basketball tournament when it was in town. We purchased tickets for all the tournament sessions and I never enjoyed a sporting event as much as I enjoyed that. When I retire I want to see a few more of those.
