no drop players
i don't really understand the criteria for this feature. i want to drop a guy in my minors who i will never use barring multiple injuries and pick up someone who could actually help with a current injury situation. the player only has a 72 ranking and has barely been used in this leagues history. i understand star players but this guy is clearly a 2'nd tier guy. it is an auto league of 1970-present 625, the player is jack clark.
Re: no drop players
Looks like 90 ranks are no drop and my guess is Clark has another season that would rank 90s.
Re: no drop players
apparently after changing his stats, he can be dropped. that is odd. fyi, best season i found was a 79 rank. just seems like that caliber should be droppable.
Re: Re: no drop players
No drop is often oriented towards OBP. Jack Clark has a .460 OBP along with a good SLugging. If you look at compare accross leagues. He his hitting at + .800 OPS clip in these type of leagues, wich surely makes him a very good hitter in these type of leagues !
Re: no drop players
@plpl512 - unfortunately in this particular league he has a .176 ba and a .258 obp in 300 games. i like clark in certain formats but this particular league he is not producing and i wanted someone to use as a defensive replacement at 3b.
Re: Re: no drop players
I see where you are picking these stats.
But throughout the site, in 1970'S-present leagues currently running.
His actual stats compiled are :
AVG.244
OBP.347
SLG .482
OPS.829
AB: 1943
You need to watch the Compare accross leagues tab to have a better idea on how a player can perform.
I prefer the 1943 AB sample size than the 300 AB small sample size split in many seasons with very few regular playing time...
cheers

Re: no drop players
@plpl512 i hear what you are saying, i have clark in a few leagues, he just didn't fit what i wanted as a bench guy, i had 3 other options i would use before him and wanted a solid 3b defender, i was just surprised he was not droppable. in hindsight maybe i should have kept him over mo vaughan!!
