I can see that idea of having a PH list for LHP "on the mound" and RHP "on the mound" working very well. Use this in conjunction with a check box for "only PH in when there are runners in scoring position" and you have addressed the problem because sometimes you only want to bring in a pinch hitter when a hit will deliver a run and there are other times that you want to pinch hit to just get a guy on base (some hitters have higher batting averages while others have mediocre batting averages but good on base percentages.
