Rash of pitching injuries
Rash of pitching injuries
so, i have over 10,000 career games now and i have never seen as many pitching injuries as i have with my teams in the last 2-3 weeks. not just a couple games here and there but double digit injuries. hopefully just a bad run but i was wondering if any tweaks were made recently? i am sure it is just a fluke but it is starting to feel personal!! lol
Re: Rash of pitching injuries
Same here - I'm considering just having a 6th SP on my active rosters so I don't have to keep making adjustments - don't give him a Role and he can fill in when needed in the rotation or relief.
Re: Re: Rash of pitching injuries
ironically i had 2 more guys go down in the next 2 sims!! i guess since i now am running more teams the last couple months my odds go up.
Re: Rash of pitching injuries
I'm not seeing any more injuries than normal but I've noticed that sometimes they come in bunches. I guess if you play enough leagues, all things will eventually happen.
Re: Re: Rash of pitching injuries
In truth, I have always advocated for more injuries, and those with less games played should be susceptible to longer injured stints than guys who played a lot more games.
If a player is good enough to be in a "Best of" type League and has less than 90 Games played or less than say 300-340 AB, he SHOULD miss days, while a guy who played 147 games should rarely get hurt and not for more games than he actually played in.
I myself haven't noticed a sizeable spike, but Injury day rolls around eventually and time will tell.
By the way, I believe EVERY HBP should carry a 20% chance the batter misses JUST the rest of that game

Re: Re: Rash of pitching injuries
seems like i don't always get a notification when they are healthy either. hard to remember every roster and who is hurt
Re: Rash of pitching injuries
If you view the MLL button, any team that has an injured player will have a RED Highlight on the team page - pitchers do not appear as injured unless they have to miss 5+ games
Re: Re: Rash of pitching injuries
@SinCityMarauder thanks , i see that but for instance i have johan santana injured for 11 game, he is now down to 4 but has no injury mark next to his name anymore. this occured a couple days ago in another league. my 5th starter was apparently healthy but i was not notified till i saw him pitch in relief. don't seem to have the same issue with position players
