Re: What does your Username mean ?

Re: What does your Username mean ?

Well, I have often thought new professional team names projected violence (Predators, Kraken, Diamondbacks) and natural disasters (Thunder, Hurricanes, Avalanche) and when asked to think up a team name on the spur of the moment- ( I had two springer spaniels at the time I joined PC) - I wondered what might be the least likely name that a team might attach itself to? Spaniels. Cute, adorable and lovable pooches not likely to strike fear in any opponent. Although I did have a Springer spaniel named Winston who - much to my consternation and frustration - did chase sheep with the bloodthirsty intent to kill. I don’t actually have spaniels anymore; just a ‘bit of everything’ rescue and a mini-Australian shepherd. My two pooches give me great joy and hilarity every single day - even when they decide to bark at a squirrel at 3am in the middle of the night. They can look like they are in deep REM sleep in the middle of the day but soon appear by my side while I’m unwrapping a piece of cheese or opening a can of tuna. The one thing I wonder about is the anger they project towards the post man on his daily rounds . They go absolutely apoplectic with rage as he walks along our sidewalk. I only really notice this when I’m on holiday because I’m normally at the school during the day but now that I’m on holiday for the summer I see what they are like during the day. Now they interrupt my morning naps with sudden bat****-crazy mad barking whenever the Amazon delivery guy or the postman visits the house.
