Random Players

Random Players

Ever have a player just kind of stick in your memory? Looking back at his stats maybe he wasn't that good, didn't play that much. But you see his name in the free agent list and it's "Oh yeah! I forgot about this guy. He was really good" Except he wasn't. Norm Larker is that guy. He did make 2 all star teams. Course, they were in the same season, 1960. His only solid season. Dodger 1st baseman. I'd a swore he played a long time lol.

Re: Random Players

Bob Aspromonte - I remember him as the Colt 45's 3B back in the early 60's. I had his baseball card and the name was unusual, so it stuck. He had a brother who played also, Ken.

Re: Re: Random Players

John Paciorek played 1 game for the Colt 45's and went 3 for 3 with 2 bb , 4 runs and3 rbi . How did he not get another chance ? His brother Tom was a pretty good of er for the Mariners. If you want a good laugh , look at his 162 game avg on bbref , 648 runs , 486 hits and rbi !!!
