Max Muncie(s)
Max Muncie(s)
Last night in West Sacramento, Max Muncie (birthdate Aug. 25th) batted 7th and played 3B for BOTH the A's and Dodgers.
Re: Max Muncie(s)
The 1962 Mets had 2 pitchers named Bob Miller . A reporter once asked Casey Stengel how he decides which one to bring in , " It doesn't matter , they both stink !! "
Re: Max Muncie(s)
I guess the best way to tell them apart is to determine which Max Muncy had his MLB debut with the Athletics.
Re: Max Muncie(s)
ok, i knew about the new max muncy in oakland that bats right handed and is a lot skinnier than og muncy from the dodgers (i know we got him from the A's), and i thought it was super interesting they both were playing against each other and batting 7th and playing 3B. that stuff was interesting and super cool.
however, i am just now seeing in this thread that they were born on the same day! now that is INSANITY!!!! i can't believe that, so unbelievable, mind is BLOWN...

Re: Re: Max Muncie(s)
It is rather mind blowing. I'm heading to the Dodgers/A's game tonight but going to stop by and see Dusty Baker at his family winery in West Sac before the game. Should be a fun night! I'll try to get a photo with both Max Muncys in it!
Re: Re: Max Muncie(s)
i also just came across this fun fact, that back in april 2025 they both had the exact same batting avg and ops for a moment.

and then in May 2026 they were back to back, number 9 and 10, in hard hit rate.
