Random observation
It seems like the better i think my team is the worse they perform in the playoffs!! recently have had 4of my best regular season teams get clobbered in the playoffs then i have a team slide in as a 5 or 6 seed and roll thru the playoffs. am i the only one? starting to take it personally!! lol
Re: Random observation
I have encountered similar situations. I am guessing that you are a watchful owner, keeping on top of slump buster, possibly making daily ongoing changes and positioning lefty/righty matchups whereas that bottom seeded team may not be as detail oriented. My theory is that long-term, your attention to details makes a difference, hence a much better regular season record but on a short series those details have less impact, not to mention your opponents can get lucky with players (namely starters) going on “fire”. Also, if slump buster is limited in a season, your regular season record is artificially elevated whereas that superstar who was on slump buster during the regular season could slump once in playoff time - once off slump buster. I have sometimes stashed - in the minors - an early season slumping superstar and promoted them in time for the playoffs with added slump buster. Of course, I only do that when I’m convinced that my team will make the playoffs without said superstar.
My two cents worth on this topic because I’ve lost many a playoff series going in as the prohibitive favourite versus a lowly, barely-qualified opponent and come out on the losing end of things.

Re: Re: Random observation
Hilarious that you stoners think what you do matters. It's a scam. It's a total waste of time, millions of dollars, totally illegal scam by this site owner. Yet you "geniuses" who don't know a baseball from a socket wrench think discussing the nothing happens in this game that is anything like actual baseball or makes any mathematical, logical or sports sense "game"... ya know, will change anything with your sports "genius" and "attention to detail". Nolan Ryan, 139 stamina, just threw only 97 pitches but was removed from the game anyway in the 7th inning despite LEADING 4-1 so it could burn my set-up man so he's unavailable for the next game. There is no "attention to detail" that can explain that screw job by this millions of dollars, totally illegal scam.
Re: Random observation
@jas202 Scam - "A dishonest trick used to cheat people out of their money."
This game is not dishonest, it is transparent that it's a stat based simulation. You don't pay any money to play, so by all parts of the equation it can't be a scam. I think you're just having a hard time dealing with the fact that you aren't very good at the game. It's all about making decisions that increase your chances of success in the game, but there's always random chance.
If you aren't having fun just stop playing. No one is forcing you to keep playing (losing).

The difference between a baseball and a socket wrench is that jas can't tighten the bolts on his neck with a baseball . " Puhhtinn ohhn da rihhttz " lol . I apologize too Gbacci , it's just low hanging fruit at this point . You must have patience bigger than Mt. Rainier to keep taking the character assassination from this clown .
