Re: A Unicorn Game

Re: A Unicorn Game

Interesting game. Having six outs at the plate would be classified as a statistical anomaly. Highlights the deterministic nature of a simulation. Event A occurs, program generates a random number, runs the number through its routines, a result is generated. No looking at what has already happened, no adjusting the odds based on previous in game occurrences. Even if an adjustment is made for previous occurrences, it's still possible to get that same result again. Considering that Pennant Chase sims a number of games daily that exceeds the total number of games played since the 1890s, weird things happening is to be expected. It would be odd if weirdness didn't occur. In my opinion, that is.
