Do not double games played........

......should not be the default on the Edit Player page when Doubling Stats. Just sayin........

Out of curiosity, why not? In my opinion, it is the best option since doubling the games played makes those players' endurance way too high.

I use it a lot for SP's - so why not double them? Most of the leagues I'm involved with have reasonable import limits (usually 125/35) and there's no need to double hitters. What you are referring to are guys who were bench players who appeared in a lot of games, but didn't have a lot of AB's. I think that's probably a small player pool, of which only a few are even worth worrying about - and in those few instances, you can check the box. Maybe I'm missing something, but I don't think so ? If you are doubling a SP with 75 IP in, for example, 13 starts. Do you want him to have 150 IP in 13 starts? I'm all for pre-checking boxes or unchecking boxes if it makes sense. Also - I can live with it the way it is.

Sheik, not trying to be difficult here, but I just tried it with a SP (with the box checked) and don't even see where Games and Games Started even appear on the player's real stats. From what I see, the stats double (which you want) and the stamina isn't affected at all (which you also want). From what I understand, the games doubled only affected batters. The reason why I originally requested that games not be doubled when doubling stats was because too many batters with low ABs were jumping to "200" endurance when their stats (including games) were doubled. In reality, those players should have the minimum endurance since their limited playing time necessitated the change to begin with. From my perspective, the default setting is working perfectly, but if you've noticed a problem with performance of pitchers who have had their stats (but not games) doubled, I sincerely want to know what the problem is, because I never uncheck the box when doubling them and I haven't noticed any problems.

I believe you're absolutely correct. and since I don't import any batters that I would have to double, I withdraw my request. I probably should have paid more attention to the SP process.. Thanks for the explanation !!
