Football = Field Goal Overload!
Just created a custom Football League. I am not sure if I have wrong settings or what, but my league is a FG Happy League. I am 10 games in and I have kickers with 60+ attempts.
Is there a way to change that?
Also, RBs seem to be useless haven't had a 100yd/g rusher yet. Now, granted we are playing All-Time Greats from 1970 to Present and Defenses are stout, but there has to be some type of setting to even out the playing field.
Any advice or help would be greatly appreciated.

A lot of people have it set to settle for the 3, and use kickers with long ranges, leading to many attempts in general. Scoring is at such a premium that I definitely employ that strategy too.
Rush offense is definitely limited as well, in my experience. Yards/rush, yards/game are at a premium, with so many stellar defensive fronts.

Well, unfortunately I am not having fun. The scoring system needs an overhaul. Kickers attempting 100fgs in a season, that's ridiculous.
RBs not able to get 100yds a game...the likes of O.J, Walter, Barry, Jim Brown...c'mon. There should be the option to set offensive and defensive sliders.

@SwampDonkey okay I had a little time to take a look at your league... I see that every team basically has a full defensive roster of 15+ AV players, most teams have many 20+ AV players. So this is basically saying every defense in the league is the 1985 Chicago Bears ON STERIODS. So you're right, it really doesn't matter who the offense is, the game will tilt toward the defense. So, there's not currently a way to make that work to your liking. I think we simply have not had many, if any, leagues constructed this way so it has not been an issue yet. I could see how a league that is essentially going to have an entire league of 15+ AV players would need some "nerfing" levers. But at the moment, I am not really sure what to suggest other than making the pool of defensive players not so exceptional.

a real stats custom league should be fairly realistic where running backs can have a huge impact - there are many on the site just have to find when one who has an open team
Most defenses won’t be great so you’ll see the value of running backs rise and 1k + yard seasons are very common
If you’re doing an auto league with only 12 teams for example most defenses are great and it takes an all time running back to do well

I am doing a custom league, we have 14 teams / 45 players per team / defensive players(not team).
I have a custom baseball league where we use every player that has ever played from 1871 thru 2025. I guess I was thinking that football would be similar to baseball that you could use every player...I guessed wrong.
We will continue to play. But may not have has many seasons as we do in Baseball(14).

I think you’re right @SwampDonkey if leagues are going to do all time individual greats only, the game probably needs a way to adjust offense/defense to likings.
You might be able to manually add AV to all the offensive players and see if that helps. I can tweak players in your sandbox if you ever want to try it out. Since AV is used for “big plays” it could help the offense have more big plays and get more of the result you want.
