HOF Andruw Jones

Andruw Jones joins the HOF. My memory says that early in his career with Atlanta he failed to hustle on a ball that dropped in front of him and Bobby Cox went (or sent a coach) straight out to get him. Pulled him from the game right then. Needless to say, Andruw shaped up and won 10 gold gloves. Old school Bobby Cox.

what i remember about him is his first year as a dodger every time he game to bat at the home stadium he was booed ferociously by the home crowd because he struck out so often (76 of 209 abs) and was getting paid such a high contract. i'm shocked he is in the hall of fame. mind blown...
p.s. i just checked his batting average when he played that horrific season for the dodgers and he batted .158 with a salary of almost 15 million which at the time was very high. career batting avg of .254 lmao, what a hof joke.

by the way, hall of fames are meaningless to me with untrustworthy voting system. people get elected who shouldn't and people who deserve it don't make it. this applies to all sports. see nfl hof for most recent obvious case with belichick. i'm sure many of you will argue my opinion which is fine but i stand firm in that hof is meaningless to me due to unfairness.

If you did PED's, gambled, or beat your wife, you probably have a harder time making it. Jones overcame the wife-beating thing and Beltran overcame the trash-banging thing. Eno Saris said it best: they have a HOF induction ceremony every year and SOMEBODY has to make it.
