I don’t mean to be just be another voice in a tiresome discussion that always breaks down into an argument,

but…

For anyone who wants a more realistic baseball experience, there’s real fantasy baseball. Based on real performances by real players in real time. I did it for a lot of years and it was a lot of fun, until COVID ruined the world and I ended up here (and haven’t looked back).

This is a computer based simulation based on ratio stats from past performances. It’s not supposed to be “real”. And if you remove all the quirks and idiosyncrasies, it would be boring and predictable. If the sim just generated exactly what happened in real life, there’d be no point in any of this. You could just go to baseball reference and get lost in all the real numbers and have the same experience (that actually is fun too). That’s not what PC is about, IMO..
