How do I get it to show my players overall after drafting my team? It shows stats but blank were overall rating should be

You can basically create an all star team of relievers for about 5 WAR points. It’s not very realistic
Quick question. I was checking out the teams-- how are some able to obtain a line up full of career year players, whereas, for my Twins team, just selecting Carew's 1977 year made it challenging to sign another star. Am I missing something?

There are many examples: SP-1.32 WHIP, 6.1 h/9, 10.4 k/9, stm 128 WAR 3.5…SP- 1.34 WHIP, 6.0 h/9, 10.3 k/9, 140 stm 7.85 WAR. Both same fire. If there was a way to balance “WAR” by sim quality stats
Rebalancing wouldn’t just be to fix the Rockies. To balance WAR relative to the sim.
Well with more WAR they could at least load up on more offense since they won’t have good pitching
I don’t think rebalancing would make any difference regardless. You could start this league in 1993 and give the Rockies unlimited war and they still wouldn’t be competitive.

Is there a way to rebalance? It seems like an owner should have to use 8.44 WAR points for a pitcher who will stink in the sim and then another owner can spend the same WAR points and get a stud.
@Barr thanks I think I know what might be causing the OF bug... yeah WAR definitely not perfect... newer teams like COL would be hard especially since in recent years when pitching has been dominant the Rockies have uniquely sucked. But yes, I was figuring we'd offer a modern only option.

Will this type of favorite team league be split into recent and all-time like it is now? WAR makes it tough because of different eras and relative offense vs pitching dominance. Hence the almost equal WAR of Freeland vs Tiant, but not even close to equally useful in this sim.
Kyle Freeland on the Rockies has highest WAR at 8.44 with a 1.25 WHIP. You can get Luis Tiant with a 0.87 WHIP on Cleveland for 8.47 WAR
I searched OF for the Rockies with WAR from 4-20. Highest player it gives is Charlie Blackmon at just under a 6. I searched any player WAR 4-20 and it gives Larry Walker at OF at just under 10. Bug?
I’m hoping you don’t have to place any restrictions on teams. It just seemed like some teams will more options for creating good lineups than others.
Players closer to 250 ABs seem to have lower WAR with per AB stats similar to higher AB players. This can be a strategy to save WAR for later. Same thing with pitchers just barely over the innings minimums.
Not sure that an unbalanced budget is needed. If the Cap works on WAR aren't all the franchises going to be equal as far as WAR goes?
@Barr I think we're going to get into the mess we currently have with Fav Teams if we start setting specific budgets for franchises, but I could understand how that may be needed if a few teams dominate.
I think you should be able to pick over 23 guys, 23 was just the minimum to not get booted from an Auto League. It sounds like people feel like they need more points if they want more than 23.
when I seached Velazquez as in Nelson Velazquez for KC, I click his name in the search results aand I get the "Player Menu" box which is blank. nd I get the "Player
26/90 might be a better go. I could use a couple of more benck slots for resting players when needed No injuries will help. Sme unique strategies can occur as well.

A strange thing that happens is after I search for a player or by position and then select someone, the screen keeps going back to an old search for pitchers.
I am intrigued by it, by the possibilities
Definitely clear you can't really load up on a lot of superstar seasons..gotta be very selective. Do you pick the monster SP season, or a monster OPS year for a position player. Too many and your other roster spots suffer.
Like this method, certainly lends itself to a lot more player combinations. My question would be was this just limited to 23 players with 80 total.WAR for the test? Hoping in reality it would be increased to the typical 26 players, maybe 90 total WAR?
Just eyeballing other teams that have been assembled, it feels like the best teams will be the same as in the current favorite leagues. Will you end up having to limit the budget on certain teams?

When I searched by RP and set a range. It lists players with SP and RP, but the players are relievers even when designated as SP
also maybe handedness since there's going to be some deep diving going on with players we are less familiar with

I agree with befulton, a speed and dWAR option would help as well.
Definitely a great addition to the Pennantchase offerings. Also much more fun than having to choose which years to select and getting the selection of any year.
For batters summary list it would be good to show dWar when you are looking to add a defensive backup.
Are we going to play games or just testing out the draft?
this is gonna turn into my new favorite league for sure...I really loved building this marlins team (listed as dodgers here)....too right handed and poor defensively to be elite but I think they'd rake a bit...some injury shortened seasons from Fernandez and Beckett give the bullpen some crazy high end bulk guys...look forward to playing it out some day soon
