Norm cash on slump buster for both tiger teams lol
Good advice for Little Richard. Good Golly Miss Molly!
Looking at the backwards tigers, it is incredible to see that for all intents Denny McClain was done as a pitcher at 25....
This is for little Richie of the Tigers(I know little Johnny of Oakland is squared away). Any 71 player on the forward league can be upgraded to 72 stats and any 71 player on the backward league can be stat changed to 70. Geez, that sounds straight forward... much too simple.
Gratz, orioles!
And then promptly lose 2 lol. Hope the 3-0 curse doesn't get you, babe
Orioles simply a monster!
Dave McNally- 30 game winner!
Hats off dodger - heck of a season!
Bill Gilbreth, 36 starts, 2.99 era.....1 and 1 record lol
Come on dodger! I go 13-4 and pick up no games on orioles
Yes, I do.
Jeez - do you remember
Do you Kruk facing Randy Johnson? That's how I would looked vs Ryan
I still remember him pounding on Robin Ventura (I think) when he charged the mound after being hit.
There was a big argument somewhere months back in the message boards about Ryan, and how "great" he was...or wasn't.
And a record barely over .500
The most no hitters, 1 hitters, 2 hitters, and 3 hitters ever (maybe 4 and 5 lol)
A strange combination of incredible talent, work ethic, and stubbornness. I'm trying to remember the writer who really blasted/took him to task for refusing to the team first. Said he would not let up 5% to get the ball over the plate to get the batter out . Think norm Sherry and koufax
Nolan Ryan is one of my favorites. He Pitched for an incredible 27 seasons, the most in MLB history. Known for his power fastball well into his 40s, he amassed a record 324 wins, 292 losses, a 3.19 ERA, and 5,714 strikeouts. He started a whoppin' 772 games, threw 5,386 IP, 222 complete games, 59 shutouts and 7 no-hitters. He was a GIANT!
McMahon was another- started at 27 in early 50s and made to 70s
Wilhelm was still getting the job done at 49. What a horse
Best player on the Braves is 49 years old! I am guessing the backwards team will be better than forward
When I pictured Junior college I threw more junk than the Sanford and sons had in their backyard
I was able to hide my lack of talent all the way through Junior college
Lol, duke big slg pct but no walks
I was a holy terror back in my T-ball days
Has any player ever started their career better than mathews? 21 thru 23 he averaged 43 homers and 105 walks!
Every merlin league I've been in, going back i am always amazed at where great great players ended their careers. Ecstatic- Eddie Mathews or despondent- Hank Greenberg.
Left at 4:30 (youngest turn to pick -45 min drive place called Chubbies... come on!) Got back around 7 and started going down my ~70 leagues and found this lol.
Dinner with the grandkids?? Where were you at lunch?
Detroit
Argg, 70 start would have been easier- dick Allen for cards
Ohh, just 1 team
Atl please
So if we have say 7 managers, the 2 7 team leagues. Next season 4 7 team leagues, 9ne 1970, one 1972?
Did you send out invites?
Try to figure rules now lol
Detroit, st. Louis
Jeez, I take the grandkids out for dinner and find this!
I thought they would go first, TBH
