11. Season turns over/progressions run/retirements
1. Rosters
- Teams will have a max of 15 man NBA roster and can carry players on Minor League (G-League) roster
- Teams will have $150M budgets
- Players will stop progressing at age 30 and will start regressing at age 35
- Players not under contract will retire at age 35; Players under contract will retire after 40
2. Contracts
- Maximum contracts are 4 years
- You can sign any of your players to a Pennant Chase NBA contract
- You can play a player after drafting or acquiring him, in FA but he will not stay on your roster the following year if not under a Pennant Chase NBA contract
3. Buy Outs
- Any player on a Pennant Chase NBA contract can be Bought Out. This will require half of his remaining contract be deducted from the team budget
- Any Buy Outs simply require an email to the commissioner
- Any reduced team budgets will be reinstated the following season
4. “Franchise” Player
-One (1) player per team can be designated a “Franchise” player each season
- This allows the player to permanently have his stats changed to any season of his career
- His age will stay what it currently is in the league
- Once designated a “Franchise” player, he must be signed to a Pennant Chase NBA contract if he isn't already
-A player may only have his stats changed once in his career
- The chosen player and season must be communicated to the commissioner by Season Tip-Off each year.
5. Progression Changes
-Any player imported into the league at the beginning of the 2000 season has a C progression. Any players added to the league by Draft Class going forward will have different progressions
- Team can pay for permanent progression upgrades for any player at any time. It costs $5 per progression level increase per player:
- $5 to go from U to F, $5 to go from F to C, $5 to go from C to A, and $5 to go from A to S. You cannot "sell" progressions so you can't go the opposite direction once a player starts to regress
- Progression payments will be deducted from team budgets, but will reset for the following season.
6. Free Agency
-Every team will have a week after the season ends for FA bidding. Send offers to commissioner.
- All offers need to include: amount given per year, and the amount of years (EX: SF LeBron James 4x$25M=$100M)
- At the end of that window, free agents sign to the best offer (multiply years and amount given)
- In the event of a tie, the player will sign the shorter contract. If still tied, the player will choose the team with the better record the previous season.
- No priority bidding. Only offer contracts that you want - assume you may win them all
7. Trades and Draft Pick Trading
- Trades are unlimited
- Draft pick trading is allowed but only for the next draft
