C. Rookies will be added after the auto draft and prior to the supplemental draft. The number and positions of rookies will be determined based on retirements.

D. A supplemental draft will take place at game 10. All teams will receive players during the supplemental draft to keep the league competitive.

E. Free Agency will open after the supplemental draft is completed. The Commissioner will post the time Free Agency will open to allow all managers to plan and participate. This will keep the league more competitive.

2015 - The Mounties Win the Series

It was a tough fight and the Mounties had to come from behind to earn the Federation Championship. The Mounties took Game 1, 11 - 3, behind the arm of SP Nomo who went 8 innings and struck out 6 without walking anyone. The offense connected for 6 homeruns and never looked back after putting two on the board in the first inning. In Game 2 the Frontiersman starting pitcher N. Ryan only went for five innings but it was enough to hold off the Mounties as their SP T. Seaver gave up 5 runs in five innings. The Frontiersmen took Game 2, six to four. Game 3 was a tough back and forth battle. The Mounties jumped out early and put a run on the board in the top of the first. The Frontiersmen answered in the bottom of the second and put up a run to tie the game. The Mounties scored twice in the top of the fourth and the Frontiersmen answered by scoring one in the bottom of the inning. The score was 3 - 2, Mounties up by one. The Mounties put up another run in the top of the seventh to make it 4 – 2. The Mounties bullpen fell apart as RP L. Gregerson gave up one run in the bottom of the eighth and Closer A. Chapman gave up 2 runs in the bottom of the ninth giving the Frontiersmen a victory. Hitter of note for the Frontiersmen in this game was R Alomar who entered the game as a pinch hitter and put one out of the park in the bottom of the seventh. He remained in the game at Shortstop and in the ninth he knocked in Boggs with a bloop single to left field. In game four Mounties starting pitcher went seven innings, giving up three runs and striking out five. That was enough as the Mounties jumped out to a 5 – 0 lead after four innings. The final score of Game 4 was 5 – 3 in favor of the Mounties. The series was tied at two games apiece. Game 5 was an epic battle. In the beginning it looked like it was going to be a good old fashioned whooping as the Mounties jumped out early in the top of the first inning with four runs knocking out the Frontiersmen starting pitcher, R Martinez, after only a third of an inning. The Frontiersmen bullpen stepped up and met the long relief challenge. They pitched a total of 14.2 innings and only gave up two more runs. The Frontiersmen offense got it going by putting runs up in the second, fourth, fifth and sixth innings to move ahead by a score of 6 – 5. The Mounties were able to tie it up in the seventh and the game remained tied until the end of the ninth. The game proceeded for five and a half more scoreless innings until the bottom of the fifteenth when George Brett hit a double off Mounties reliever Saito. The next two hitters, Hamilton and Rose both hit deep fly balls allowing Brett to score and win the game. The Frontiersmen were up three games to two and the Mounties faced elimination. The Mounties ace, SP Nomo, was on the mound for Game 6. He did not disappoint and had another good outing going seven innings while allowing two runs. The starting pitcher for the Frontiersmen, Shantz, gave up five runs through five innings. The Mounties held them off and won 5 – 3. The series was tied at 3 games apiece. Game seven featured a pitching rematch of Game 2 where Frontiersmen starting pitcher N. Ryan beat Mounties starting pitcher, T. Seaver. Both offenses came to play but the Frontiersmen pitching fell apart allowing the Mounties to score a run in the third, one in the fourth, one in the fifth, four in the sixth and six in the seventh. At the end of the seventh the Mounties had placed 13 runs on the board. At that point the score was 13 – 4. The Frontiersmen offense gave it all they had and scored three in the eighth and put another run on the board in the ninth before the final out. Game seven went to the Mounties by a score of 13 – 8.

2014 - Mounties Take the Championship

The Montpelier Mounties had the best season in franchise history heading into the post season with a record of 110-52. They earned a first round bye and defeated the Roadrunners in the second round to advance to the Championship. In game one of the series the Salem Storm gave the Mounties all they could handle. The Mounties jumped out early with an Albert Pujols home run in bottom of the 4th inning. The score remained 1 to nothing until the top of the 7th when the Storm blasted two, 2 run home runs to lead the game 4-1. The Mounties mounted a comeback and knocked two long balls in the bottom of the 7th. The game remained at 4-3 until the bottom of the 9th when the Mountie SS Rich Aurillo took one out of the park to tie the game at 4 runs a piece. The game remained tied until the top of the 12th when Storm first baseman Todd Helton hit a double to score Chuck Klein. The Storm went up by one and the Mounties could do nothing in the bottom of the 12th as the Storm bullpen shut them down. In game two the Mounties scored 2 in the 2nd and 3 in the 4th to jump to a five run lead. The Storm hitters capitalized on a couple of miscues and Barry Bonds send one out of the park in the 7th and Mo Vaughn parked another in the 8th. It was to little to late and the Mounties took game 2 by a scored of 6-2 after they added one in the 8th. In game three Mountie starting pitcher Cliff Lee was brilliant and pitched a 2 hit shutout. The Mounties took game 3 by a score of 7 to 0. Game four was important for both clubs. The Mounties jumped out front with a run in the 2nd. In the bottom of the 4th, the Storm scored two runs to go up 2 - 1.
