A 3-Peat and a Special Thanks
Been on PC for about four years now. And being a frequenter of baseball-reference.com and all around stat nut to begin with and finding this site, was a match made in Heaven. Took to it like a fly on excrement.
Now I've been a regular in Customs the entire time, an all leagues-Favorite Teams obsessed team builder, occasionally an Auto (mostly to prove to myself I can build a winner anywhere, I know, being ubermodest..) but in all the league playoff appearances, perennial contenders and the likes, despite being able to build an assortment of franchises, the "trade all picks and go big on big FA to win every year" type, the "hoard youth (especially pitchers) and draft picks and build a youth movement to last for years" type, the "Contending Rebuilder (I'd like to think I coined that. Lol)" type
I'd had never pulled off a feat until yesterday...

The "3-peat". For one reason or another, it had always evaded me. So the fact that it's occurred in a non-keepers Auto League (Best of 2010's), makes it even more unlikely. My Aromatic AR-15's had to comeback from down 3-1 to do it on top of it !
Im aware most of this post may come off as braggadocio.
But quite honestly, in 2020, I've struggled mightily with whether to stay on this site or give it up entirely. I run too many leagues and it gets stressful.
But things like 'the 3-peat' yesterday, are those unique things that keep me coming back. You'll always see something for the first time if you look close enough. There's always some pointer to pick up. A new team or league to get excited over. For the few cheats or sloppy commishes you may find, there's a slew of dedicated, intelligent owners, and alot of well-run leagues (most are private, ask experienced owners to refer you) by dilligent commishes that bust their humps to provide all of us quality baseball SIM experiences.
So thanks to Guy for making a quality product that I can't seem to walk away from. I like it too much.
And a hats off to the dedicated owners that make competing against you all so damn addictive and commishes that make Custom circuits the ultimate challenge, and to the vets and newbs alike cutting their teeth that make Autos still a lot of fun (I try them out more, you've won me over there too, Guy. Lol
Thanks again for running a fun site.
