Retirements

Retirements

Hey Commissioners. Question about how retirements work in a Real Progression League. When you click on progress players during the off-season, how does it know what your minimum ABs and IPs are for the league. Do you enter those somewhere? Does it automatically retire players who fall below those minimums? If not, do they just stay on their respective teams (or FA) until you manually remove them?

Also, when a player DOES get automatically retired when you run progressions, do I get a list of players who are retiring or do they just disappear from FA (or rosters of teams). Just wondering, because our previous commish used to make note of particular players who were retiring and I'm wondering how he was informed of who those players were, or maybe he just knew.

Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks!
Gus

Re: Retirements

Gus, I'm not certain about minimums, but when you retire, the page returns with a list of those it just retired.

Re: Retirements

Gus, when you progress players in a real progression league, it doesn't take into account your league minimums. It will retire players that didn't play that following season. You then have to manually go through each team and retire players that don't meet the minimums.

Re: Retirements

The comments above are certainly true.

There is also a selection in the Free Agents list for seeing a list of retired players.

Also, not sure exactly how your league works gus, but in real progression keep in mind some players will show as retired because they have no stats for the given year, but they might un-retire because they have stats in future seasons.

Of course, you may already know these things, in which case you are welcome for bumping your post to the top of the list :-)
