Quick drafting "My Team" in Sandbox

Quick drafting "My Team" in Sandbox

I'm trying to progress through a few seasons in my sandbox league to get a sense how all my variables work out over multiple years. To do so, I need to be the owner of every team, to make the necessary roster moves and whatnot.

However, whenever I go to draft, it seems to default me to the same team. So, once I complete the first quick draft, I can't do any other teams' quick draft. (Without removing myself as owner from every other team, and then doing a LOT of team editing to get through the whole process.)

Is there a trick I'm missing? I'd like to blow through the quick draft fairly quickly, but this is basically an impasse. Makes it hard to truly do some R&D on different league ideas.

Re: Quick drafting "My Team" in Sandbox

As far as I know, cycling through each team, removing yourself as owner of each as you move on to the next is the only way, but I may be wrong...

Re: Re: Quick drafting "My Team" in San

There is no way to be assigned to multiple teams and do the quick draft for all those teams. But if you're simply looking to disperse players equally to run some test drives, I highly recommend the "CPU quick draft all players" option in commish tools.

Re: Quick drafting "My Team" in San

Guy, if I'm not mistaken, the CPU Auto Quick Draft just gives each team 23 additional players. If those teams already have 10-20 players on contract from a previous year, then they wind up with huge roster totals.

Re: Quick drafting "My Team" in Sandbox

Yeah I think he wants control over what players get drafted too... I think he mentioned several teams have already been drafted for, but was just looking for a more convenient way to do the rest. That method, though, would require a fresh start by removing all already drafted players from their teams which would only make for even more work on his part...

Re: Quick drafting "My Team" in Sandbox

I see. It probably wouldn’t be a major change to have that feature not over-draft teams. The quick draft is more complex. It wouldn’t be impossible but there would be a fair amount of architectural change needed to support that. The issue there is, to prevent cheating (ie closing down the website in hopes of getting better options each time you return) the site has to track where you are in the draft and which players were offered. This feature would screw up the quick draft if one person were trying to do it for multiple teams at once.

Re: Quick drafting "My Team" in Sandbox

I see, but the thought of lowering the number of players added through the CPU quick draft all players option based on the players already on a team to begin with would probably come in handy though... Might make the option more useful instead of creating more work for the commish to correct and therefore need to remove the excess of addidtional players

Re: Re: Quick drafting "My Team" in San

I have changed the CPU Fill All Teams to check for existing roster/positions... I have not tested it out yet, so let me know if you give it a try and it does not work as expected...
