Re: Inexplicable loss?

Re: Inexplicable loss?

The sim goes to the back of the bullpen priority when the game lead is large. I think the threshold is 6 runs or greater.

Re: Re: Inexplicable loss?

Thanks, kind of defeats the purpose of setting up a bp tho huh?

Re: Inexplicable loss?

Also don’t know, since it’s after the fact, but were any regular RPs tired? Could have played a role too

Re: Re: Inexplicable loss?

I've definitely found that the last pitcher in my bullpen gets more innings than everyone but the top 2 pitchers So I usually my bullpen like this #1, #2, #5, #4, #3.

Re: Re: Inexplicable loss?

The SIM reacted accordingly - you entered the 7th inning up 6 runs - after your starter walked the lead-off man, he struck out the 2nd batter, and reached his pitch limit.

With a 6 run lead the back end of the Bullpen comes in - Hoyt gave up 2 hits both singles and got an Out, but then allowed a 2 Run Triple- Green entered and gave up 4 hits- allowing 1 inherited runner and 3 of his own score- HE is the Goat, not Hoyt.

But the SIM functioned correctly, it just wasn't your day.

See below - it just happens some times....

Re: Inexplicable loss?

If there are no runners on base (like start of an inning) and you are up or down 6 or more, back of the bullpen comes in. Just like real MLB, no? It does suck when that pitcher then gives up tons of runners and makes it a game again, no doubt. Hoyt and Mendoza shouldn’t even be in the majors, team has enough RP plus an extra SP

Re: Re: Inexplicable loss?

Thanks all, an inexplicable loss is now just an f-'ed up loss... correction made..
