League Options

League Options

Looking to create a league. While test driving the Commish tools, I did not see where I can: 1) Run the draft like the Auto-Leagues I am currently in (based of a list of ranked players, with each round about 8 hours apart) and 2) A player pool range, i.e 1970-1989), Are these options possible. I love the site.

Re: Re: League Options

Yes, realize I need to donate to make this happen.

Re: League Options

I'm also looking to donate and start a league and would like to know those answers.

Re: Re: League Options

Hi everyone... sorry for the delayed response, I'm a little overwhelmed these days with so many people on the site, but I love it!

To answer your question, all of this is very much possible.

1) To run the "every-8-hour" draft, you would go to Commish Tools ... Schedules and Drafts... Set Auto or Supplemental Draft. On that page, in the first drop-down, select On - Auto Daily Draft. (This will start the draft in 24 hours... so before doing that you want to make sure your league has enough time to rank some players...)

2) You can build literally whatever player pool your heart desires from the history of baseball. The Import Historic Player or Team page gives you everything you need. The best option to use if you are looking to bring in players from a set of years is the Import Best Players from a Range. You can run that as many times as you want to bring in as many players as you desire from the ranges of years you select.

Re: League Options

On the importing of players and you put the date range then you have to designate number of players to add and by position. So say I'm doing a large range of years (say 1890-2000) and I want say 50 players to add, is that 50 players "PER" position? So I would have 50 players at each position?

Re: League Options

Yes each time you run it it’s per position.
