Rendon to the Angels

Rendon to the Angels

Anthony Rendon seven-year, $245 million deal w/ the Angels. Trout's happy lol

Re: Rendon to the Angels

Maddon is happy. Makes him look smarter.

Re: Re: Rendon to the Angels

Can he pitch? Angels had worst pitching in the AL last season. My other issue with the Angels is - why are they so embarassed about where they play? Not only do they not play in Los Angeles, they don't even play in Los Angeles COUNTY !! Own up to it, you play in Anaheim in Orange County!! With that being said, if they sign/trade for 2 or 3 pitchers (Kluber, Ryu) they could give Oakland a run for 2nd place in the division.

Re: Rendon to the Angels

Honestly, Sheik, that viewpoint makes a lot of sense. Despite the home run mayhem this year and last, elite pitching continues to be the name of the game. Well, unless daily baseball becomes a Home Run Derby, and not just during the All Star break...

Re: Re: Rendon to the Angels

That's actually an important point you just brought up - what ball will be used next year? Will it be the one that makes 30 HR hitters the norm, or will we go back to the 2015 ball? Maybe a happy in between?

Re: Rendon to the Angels

Wait, are you trying to say it WASN'T the norm this year??? Lol 😝😂

Re: Rendon to the Angels

Also just realized, in 2015 It was a just a few guys doing it instead of the whole damn MLB. Specifically Bryce Harper treating NL pitchers as his personal batting practice... 🤔😂

Edit: speaking of which, how much you wanna bet it was Harper's success that season that started this whole mess? Lol
