This might be listed somewhere and I am just missing it, but was wondering if anyone can provide some detail on how secondary defensive positions work. Is there a standard 'Penalty' that is applied if you are playing at a secondary position vs. primary. Is that different than if someone was played at a position they aren't listed for at all?

if you use a player at their backup position they take a .50 cut in fielding percentage - so a .1000 fielding percentage would drop to .950

Sin is exactly right, except for the math. It’s actually a .050 reduction, but still goes from 1.000 to .950 as per his example. 🙂
