Quick Question
I hope I'm not posting on the boards too much, but I had a quick questions.
I know that dWAR is highly valuable on this site, especially high dWAR shortstops. What is a dWAR for a shortstop that will make a considerable difference in the outcome of games?

i play in a custom best teams league and all the ss leaders in d plus have a dwar 3 and above. one thing iv'e noticed is that when you look at team stats and rank the teams for d plus its almost exactly the same correlation to the team era leaders

Thanks, this is the only place I've ever seen which takes into account defense so heavily. I'm trying to figure out how to maneuver it.

I will take that comment as a badge of honor. :)
I think around 2+ becomes pretty valuable. I suspect others who have studied the impact will have some opinions.
I also definitely dislike having a negative dwar SS because it opens the door to a game-losing play, especially with SS getting a lot of action.

Agreed on the Dwar value Guy, but the algorithm that decides the FA Supplemental draft needs to be tweaked to consider that then doesn't it?

It's most certainly a badge of honor. Nick Ahmed has been a beast on my Diamondbacks team defensively, and I'm seeing a +2 dWAR pattern too.
