Done

Done after game one. I already knew this sim wouldn't be any closer to baseball than all the other bad ones. If I had my SB's for fast runners on 100% and Raines and Alomar got on 3 times but only attempted one steal then nothing I do or anybody does actually matters. On top of that, I allowed Justin Turner to be PH for because I also have Mora who's a better hitter than Turner. It bats Julio Franco instead, meaning Julio is burned and Mora would still have to go in the game anyway to play 3rd. Franco totally wasted because nothing any human manager does in these games actually changes anything. Baseball is real life, not a simulation and your sim is garbage like all the others. Notoriously bad arm Piazza threw Raines out and 2 pitchers got hurt on top of all this other non-baseball nonsense. I'm out. You others can totally waste your time.

Re: Done

So other than that, what did you think?

Re: Re: Done

You're in five leagues, so I'm going to assume (probably incorrectly) that you might want to like this game? If so, it's going to take a lot of patience and learning. If you're one of those people who's going to join a site and after one game hate it and make claims the sim can't grasp your superior knowledge of baseball, you will have zero fun here and your teams will not be good.

If you're willing to take it for what it is, a game that's supposed to generally emulate baseball and entertain baseball fans, and learn from the vets who have been playing it, then you'll wind up loving it.

But based on your reply, there's a 1% chance you're going to stick around.

Briefly:

1) There were no pitchers injured. Most pitchers who do pitch need days off after they pitch.

2) 100% stolen base setting doesn't mean the runner runs 100%, that would be highly unrealistic.

3) Your team in question is a really bad team for the 1970-Present player pool. In a lot of these leagues, you have to understand they are filled with the best of all time, so you need as many of the best of the best you can get. But then there are all sorts of nuances from there, like considering up the middle defense, pitching, speed, etc... it does take most people a while to get good at any sim game because they all have their quirks.

4) How was Franco wasted in a 5-1 game? If he's your best PH don't you want him taking a swing first and foremost?

Re: Re: Done

the Sim pitch hits based on the order listed of your bench, so if Franco was at the top of your subs, he would be the 1st pinch hitter used.

Even if you set steal at 100% there is no guarantee the runner would be able to get a jump and attempt to steal

Bye

Re: Re: Done

" It's not realistic " says the man who named his team the roswell aliens lol

Re: Done

I personally think SPs should be allowed to pitch 9 innings every day with no time off for “realism” purposes.

Re: Re: Done

Do not introduce this guy to chess. He may want to chop some horses in half, kidnap two queens and two kings, and unearth four castles before making the first move.

Re: Done

Honestly though, he played 1 game- ONE - this guy must have been the inspiration for that TV show " Short Attention Span Theater"

Re: Re: Done

I am earnestly awaiting his "realistic" version of a baseball simulator that I can only assume he is creating as we speak. Why else sample so many "bad" ones? He must be gather ideas to create a better one. I sure hope he lets us know when he has finished it!

Re: Done

Here's that attention you ordered. Now piss off and have an okay day :)
