Career Based Stats League(s)
Are there any leagues out there that use this format (any sport)? In other words, if you have Babe Ruth, the league uses his entire career (714 HR, etc...) stats? I understand this would be a redraft league - in essence an auto league I suppose...
Thanks and lemmeknow, I would definitely be interested in something like this. I played a lot of Avalon Hill Superstar Baseball growing up and this is how it was in that game.

The one big issue I can see with such a league is that players would need to be manually created. Every. Single. Player
And that's even if the sim allows such big numbers to be input into the player creator system (i.e. enough space in the text boxes to have, say, 4 and 5 digit numbers at most like ABs and a bunch of other stats for players who were around for a long time)

There are some leagues that do career 162 averages or things like that. As mentioned above you cannot use career totals. Also as mentioned above, you have to manually create every player. Its on my TDL to eventually offer an import feature that imports a players 162 career average.

There was a league long ago like this run by CokeMachine. It was super popular and he ran it as a redraft league. When he left, he shared the stats with various leagues - so I wonder if any of those are still around or if Guy could track down something in the archives by CokeMachine.

So, someone could import the players from this league if they wanted - I don't know how accurate the stats are, we just sort of go with whatever they are.

I'm in that league too, it's my favorite league. Easiest thing to do would be to contact Gunsmurphy and tell him you want in. He gets openings almost every season.
