2019 stats?

2019 stats?

Does anyone know when the 2019 stats will be available?

Re: 2019 stats?

They’ve been available in custom leagues for a while. Auto leagues are rolling out now.

2019 players will be added to other autos such as ATG at a later date.

Re: Re: 2019 stats?

Just to be clear: I have my eye on a franchise with great 2019 pitching. If I picked them for a fave teams league tomorrow, could I use 2019?

Re: 2019 stats?

Yes you can! I just made a team using the 2019 season as one of my 4 years a few hours ago

Re: Re: 2019 stats?

gbacci, just curious, why didn't Yordan Alvarez make the player pool for Best of 2019 leagues?

Re: 2019 stats?

Maybe it was just a mistake? Something that was just accidentally overlooked?

Re: 2019 stats?

Every year there are players missing. That’s why he needs us to let him know what we catch.

Re: Re: 2019 stats?

Do we just list missing players here?

Re: 2019 stats?

Well he is in Favorute Team leagues at least

Re: 2019 stats?

Yes let me know obvious misses in Best of 2019. Players with low Abs or IPs can get missed in Best Of leagues.

Those guys all faced over 400 hitters. Where is the cutoff? Doesn’t include guys like Erick Fedde, Framber Valdez, Luis Perdomo...

Re: 2019 stats?

Looks like the cutoff is 100 AB for batters and 30 IP for pitchers

Re: Re: 2019 stats?

Thanks - the limit is 125 and 30. I added the valid players from above, some of those SPs are pretty bad so no need to be in a Best of 2019 league. Appreciate the help!

Re: 2019 stats?

May I ask why Fave Team thresholds are 5 AB/ 5 IP higher ?

Re: Re: 2019 stats?

What 2019 players are affected by that in Favorite Team leagues Jay? just curious

Re: Re: 2019 stats?

Jay, AB are the same total. 125 is the total for fav teams too. But the IP are 35, the difference of 5 you mentioned...

Re: 2019 stats?

From the draft page:

"To qualify, a player needs 125 ABs or 35 IPs."

- The Sheik

Re: Re: 2019 stats?

Yeah. What he said, but why the difference?

Re: 2019 stats?

*shrugs*

Re: Re: 2019 stats?

Depending if it's 30 or 35 innings...
JB Wendelken (32 innings)
Stefan Crichton (30 innings)
Matt Bowman (32 innings)
Austin Adams - SEA (32 innings) (Not Austin Adams - DET)
Dustin May (34 innings)
Jacob Webb (32 innings)
Jerry Blevins (32 innings)

Then 35+ innings...
Anthony Bass
Tony Gonsolin
Jarlin Garcia
Julio Urias
Jimmy Cordero
Nick Anderson
Cam Bedrosian
Brandon Brennan
Tim Hill
Adam Kolarek
Casey Sadler
Dylan Floro
Jose Urquidy
Mike Morin
Daniel Ponce de Leon
Evan Marshall
Austin Brice
Ryne Stanek
Luke Bard

Re: 2019 stats?

Like Guy said, most of those guys have bad numbers. He doesn’t include EVERYONE. The idea is to tell him about the useful players missing.

Re: Re: 2019 stats?

I guess it depends on how you define "bad" but I have them listed best to worst (in my opinion)...

I think everyone down to at least Kolarek would be signed in most Best-of-2019 leagues.

5 of them have a BA-against under .200. Another 12 are under .220. (I think... scanning down the stats quickly)

That said, I don't care if they're not in there since most of them aren't very well-known. And pitching 35 innings of .178 ball doesn't make you a star and probably shouldn't make you one of the top closers in the game. (Wendelken)

So I'm perfectly fine with leaving them out too. Just sent them as people I looked to sign when the 2019 games opened.

Re: 2019 stats?

The other thing is, I don't want a league filled with starters who pitched 35 innings. Some guys get carried over from the previous year so they are in by default. I did pull in the 60+ IP guys.

Re: Re: 2019 stats?

Hi! I see that some 2019 pitchers have been added to the all-time greats league. Are you considering adding any hitters? I think Christian Yelich and Mike Trout had seasons which could put them on a lot of team rosters.

Re: 2019 stats?

Good call. I actually thought Yelich was added last year and assumed Trout was already there.
