Losing streaks

Losing streaks

All four of my auto league ATG teams are in losing streaks for some reason and I can’t figure out why. If anyone has some advice I’d appreciate it. Thanks.

Re: Losing streaks

losing 4 games in a row or 7 out of 10 is not abnormal during the course of a 162 Game season, in my opinion your teams look competitive and probably are just having a cold spell.

It happens, a LOT

Re: Re: Losing streaks

Especially in ATG where all the teams & players are so good... I can often have a team that is cruising along and then BAM long slide... but usually if my team is solid they will bounce back and get back in the race...

Re: Losing streaks

Aw, come on, he saw Judge's 100th homer, that is cool... you never know how many games someone has experienced or how old they are, that could be a cool thing to someone, especially someone younger.

My family (without me) was at the 1995 Edger Martinez double down to the wall game... sooooo annoyed I was not there. :)

My best game is totally random - 1987 I think, W.Sox were down like 7-1, but scored 8 in the 9th ending with a Gary Redus grand-slam off Mitch "Wild Thing" Williams who was on the Rangers.

Re: Re: Losing streaks

Sin,
Okay thanks for the reassurance.

Re: Losing streaks

Guy,
I appreciate the advice. Thanks!

Man they’re missing out on your reply on the right thread. Lol

Re: Re: Losing streaks

Agree with SCM. You have your line-ups and personnel in a really good place. Rather impressive for a newcomer.

One line-up could put Erstad in CF, for the Dwar boost, and Frisch could go in for Knoblauch in another. CF, SS, and 2b are critical for high Dwar, something you've already done almost across the board.

Slow starts and losing streaks are, for sure, something to monitor, but even great teams get mired. One of the tough (great) things about the game is when to shake it up, or when to ride with the roster as is and trust they'll break out eventually.

Re: Losing streaks

Raginsol,
Thank you for the compliments. I’mtrying to pick things up as I go. I’ve got a few players in reserve with high dWAR but not so great rankings. If I make it to the playoffs, should I switch out my high ranking players for the high dWAR guys?

Re: Re: Losing streaks

Frisch, at the very least, should be a late-inning defensive replacement. A plus 4 dwar is very valuable.

As for playoffs, in my opinion, it is best to keep the line-ups that gets you there, and only adjust if something in your opponent jumps out (ballpark dimensions, low BAs versus RHP, etc.).

Dwar is not part of the Rank calculation. In my opinion, Frisch is worth more wins than Knoblauch.

Re: Losing streaks

Frisch is worth a LOT More than Knobloch....
