Q: "Increment Contract Demands"

Q: "Increment Contract Demands"

What does this do? In the League Settings there is this parameter option with the explanation "This raises ALL player contract demands by this number - use if you think contract demands are too low." I'm trying to understand what this does. Is it the figure by which, when using "Players Demand Raises", multi-year contracts are incremented e.g. if set to +1 then a 5 year contract would be, say, 3,4,5,6,7? Or is it something different, maybe it automatically increases all player demands across the board in one blanket, league-wide "+1" demand increase?

Ideally, I want to set my league so that players DO demand raises but it' s always a max of +1 year to year. Is that possible? In other leagues I've always seen up to +2.

Any help here'd be humonguosly appreciated!

Thanks,
Greg

Re: Q: "Increment Contract Demands"

That's new, hadnt seen it. It's not about raises. If average Player A asks for $2, good player B $5, stud player C $9 and you think that's too low, you can raise them by same amount. So if you change Incremental Demands to $2, they'd now ask for $4, $7, $11.

Re: Re: Q: "Increment Contract Demands"

Thanks for the insight! Much appreciated.

Re: Re: Q: "Increment Contract Demands"

Just to piggy back on what yankee said... i also believe in the initial post guy put up you can post negative values also to reduce contracts if you want also. -3 or -5

Re: Q: "Increment Contract Demands"

I never like the Contract raises option.

It's illogical as players ask more if you add contract years. It shouldn't be the opposite? Like asking more for a short term contract..and less on long term?

1rst year should be higher...and next should be lower..no?

Re: Re: Q: "Increment Contract Demands"

No. In this game a young player keeps getting better. Why would you pay them less? Now that we have alternate progression types, maybe a Flat player shouldn’t ask for raise but otherwise, makes total sense.

Re: Q: "Increment Contract Demands"

U progression could also regress.

A and S should ask higher amount at first...and less on next years. (Like real life, players don't want short term...)

I never saw a player signing cheap short term contract.

You should always pay less per year (In average) on long term contract. No?

At least,it should impact salary cap as an average per season. Not real amount.

My opinion..
