More impressive?

More impressive?

Which is more impressive? Dimaggio's 56-game hitting streak or my 56-game streak in Player Scramble with the Red Sox?

Going for 57 tomorrow. I am 72-3 overall. Had some stumbles out of the gate. Started 51-0 with the Dodgers, but had a lot of luck along the way as I have never followed them closely. I also do the Yankees. 66-7 with them.

Re: More impressive?

Probably Joe's streak. I'm currently at 61-0 with the Twins, but it's not really a fair fight, since I've been following them non-stop my whole life and know way more about them than anything else in the whole world, including my job and my family. Oops.

Re: More impressive?

Although, your streak is quite impressive, that does not compare to the hitting streak. I am 33-0 with the Guardians, so it proves if you followed box scores and baseball cards in your youth, you have a good shot at being successful in this. I am also 31-1 with the Cavs and 29-3 with Browns. I find the NFL the most difficult due to larger roster size and more frequent turnover of players.

I am most impressed with the fact that you have been disciplined and diligent enough to do the scramble all 75 days since it was introduced. I sometimes forget about it.

Re: Re: More impressive?

I am only doing the Patriots for the NFL and half the time I do not know who the players are and I am really disappointed at how often I know a players name but apparently have no idea what position or when they played.

I am at 59-10 with the Patriots and today extended my Red Sox streak to 57.

Sorry Joe!

Re: More impressive?

Thats what is tough about football. I can do names but choosing between OL or DL is tricky. I have been a Football Giants fan since I was dressed in their uniform and helmet at the age of 4. My father wanted to name me Y.A. after Y.A. Tittle. (you youngsters can google him). My last name is as common as they come. Thank God my mother put the kibosh on that! I am about to enter my 7th decade following them and it is tough.

Re: More impressive?

And here I was, upset that I'm 71-2 instead of perfect with my Yankees!
