thank you

thank you

thank you Guy for creating, maintaining and running this website - I know I speak for many of us when I say this is one of the few things keeping a shred of normalcy, positivity and stress-relief in my life right now

Re: thank you

Thank you Nap... it's been fun to be able to introduce PC to so many new people during this crazy time. I wish my day job wasn't so crazy right now due to the pandemic, but hopefully it calms down soon.

Re: Re: thank you

AMEN!

Re: thank you

Ditto here. I am not a poster but I've enjoyed playing for a few years.

While competing is nice, it's more about the nostalgia of being reminded about both many of historic players and many of the 'idols of my youth'. This is what drew me and keeps me playing.

Your work is much appreciated.

Re: Re: thank you

Same here, I was scrolling through my Pennant Chase results while waiting an hour and a half in line at Costco yesterday morning on Senior Day and thinking to myself that at least a few small things in my life remain normal. Your never completely are locked down when you have this community to interact with - regardless of religion or political affiliation, we have baseball and this virus in common.

Re: thank you

I’m new here and love this site. It has really giving me something to do during these times. Thanks for all your hard work!

Re: Re: thank you

I’m having trouble getting my head wrapped around the notion of the Sheik having to line up at Costco. I pictured him having people to do that sort of thing for him while he ruled from his ornate Southern California throne. The myth is slowly being shattered. Lol

Re: thank you

lol

Re: thank you

I too am normally not a poster. I have been a fantasy baseball player for a long time and greatly appreciate all of your hard work to let players use the greats of the games and team players from various years.

Re: Re: thank you

Gus, I think the handle "Sheikyerbouti" is more in homage to the musical genius that was Frank Zappa.

I too am a devotee to his comic, topical, edgy music that was not afraid to address and in some cases, poke fun at off beat topics.

I had a Team once called Carolina Hard Core Ecstasy - With a pair of Boots for our team photo!

Re: Re: thank you

whats realyl scary is all the things that zappa said about censorship and the gonernment back in the 70's.everyone called him a nut.now it seems everything he said has come to pass.also gotta give him props for showing up to pmrc hearings along with dee snyder and john denver.if youve never seen the pmrc hearings, watch it.shows you how clueless some politicians are.
