MLB: The Quest for Superstardom

MLB: The Quest for Superstardom

Hey guys,

I have been working for a while on the creation of a new league.

MLB: The Quest for Superstardom is the name of this new league.

Fictional players, U potential only. You will get to build your team through a draft process. No slump buster, no FIRE points. Team budget at $150. 5 trades per season. No pick trading, no draft lottery.

I have plenty of experience as a commissioner for those of you who might not know me much. It may take a few weeks before we get the league going though, but I'm offering all of you a chance to join in. I will own the Texas Rangers.

If you have any interest in joining this new league, let me know. I will send you the details, the league is private for now.

Thank you.

I'd like to read the rules, bigal, if you can put a link to them.

Re: Re: MLB: The Quest for Superstardom

I think the thread starter might want to capitalize the A in his handle, although how am I to know, it Might be BigAL or it might be BiGal - whatever works for you....

Re: MLB: The Quest for Superstardom

Re: MLB: The Quest for Superstardom

Plenty of teams still available. You will build your roster through a draft process. Can you build the ultimate team?

Re: Re: MLB: The Quest for Superstardom

Ill take a crack..what "logos" are left?

Re: MLB: The Quest for Superstardom

15/30 teams still available to select from.

Re: Re: MLB: The Quest for Superstardom

This is a great league for those new to Custom Leagues. Not an easy league to win, just fewer moving parts and several features that mitigate the advantage experienced Custom League players would often have.

In this league:
1. All players are "U" progression. Understanding progressions can take time to master, so the fact all progressions are the same helps those new to Custom Leagues.

2. Only 5 trades allowed, and trade picks cannot be traded. Limiting trades favors less experienced GMs.

BigAl (the Commish) has built several other features into the design of the league that will really help level the field between experienced and inexperienced Custom League players. If you are looking to try a Custom League in which you can be competitive, MLB: The Quest for Superstardom is a good one.
