If you go to your roster page or the free agents page the tables have a footer. If you click a term it expands the definition.

Go to your team Roster page, under the Hitters there is a Legend that explains each Letter
P is for Progression, only used in Custom Leagues or Private Leagues
If you click on a Player it will go to his stat page, below will be the game by game links to Box scores that he has played in

The P is actually for Potential. Which is tells you the potential of your player being progressed at. So it does relate to progressions in custom leagues as said.

That's correct Jim, I miss spoke but technically the answer was the right one - because it is tied to Progression
