The cure for F.O.M.O.O.B

The cure for F.O.M.O.O.B

it stands for fear of missing out oF baseball. go on youtube, you can watch lots of games in their entiraty. just watched game 7 of 52 world series. of course the quality isny what we are used to,but if you are like me you remember joe garragiola and tony kubek were it. and graphics? what graphics

Re: The cure for F.O.M.O.O.B

as for this game its hall of famer red barber.its wierd to watch these games and you expect a replay.things were so much simpler then

Re: The cure for F.O.M.O.O.B

Game 6 of the 52 series on YouTube as well. I am at the 6th inning mark, will finish later today then onto game 7.

These, games 6 & 7 are the actual TV broadcast, not film.

You can watch The ken burns documentary on baseball on PBS for free. Just go to their website and select the episode you want.

Re: Re: The cure for F.O.M.O.O.B

whats really strange is seeing the pitchers warm up in the on deck area.whats great about baseball is that its pretty much the same game other than the change of the mound height.anybody who is a football fan or basketball knows those two sports have changed dramaticcly.in the 70s the steelers and raiders games were like a rumble.now if you look at the qb wrong you get flagged

Re: The cure for F.O.M.O.O.B

disagree:

Cn't touch the catcher or really break up that double play.

No one moves runners or hit/runs. It's all launch angles and exit velocity. HR or bust. For all of the changes Manfred wants to make, he just shows no feel for the real game.

He approached is like a lawyer. Not a player/fan.

Put baseball back in baseball before it becomes a cheap video game.

Re: Re: The cure for F.O.M.O.O.B

agree with you there ,the 3 batter rule takes stategy out of the game.just like basketball all it is now is a 3 pt contest, and nfl might as well use flags

Re: The cure for F.O.M.O.O.B

Another strange thing to see watching game 6 & 7 of the 1952 world series, the players leaving their gloves on the field when they go into bat. Oh and no batting helmets.
