No Drop List question

No Drop List question

I also sent this to Guy ...

I noticed in the ATG leagues that Sammy Sosa and Gary Sheffield are on the No Drop List even though neither of them is very highly ranked and their rank does not show in bold. Is this a mistake or have I been misunderstanding the list? I thought it was basically all of the players that are ranked in the mid to high 90's and their rank shows as Bold in the Free Agents and Roster lists?

Just scanning the list the only other anomalies that stick out to me are Albert Belle (83) John McGraw (86) and Mark McGwire (75). Best I can tell everyone else on the list is ranked in the mid-90's or better and is bolded in the lists.

Re: No Drop List question

Can you look at changing their season? Sometimes a player is not at their highest ranked season.

Re: Re: No Drop List question

It feels like it is either a bug or the no drop list is something static that was created in a different era of the ranking algorithm. For example McGraw used to be higher ranked before defense was factored in.

Of these players I listed, I believe on Mark McGwire has seasons you can switch to that give a higher ranking and the highest I have seen him is still only a 91.

Re: No Drop List question

I believe it's because they were no drop before dwar affected rank, and especially in Sheffield case it brings his rank way down now.

Re: Re: No Drop List question

In the 15 months I have been here, neither Sosa or McGwire were ever ranked in the 90's. I suspect it must pre-date even that and I just never tried to trade one of these people before so did not notice it. I thought that was what the Bold rank meant.
