Always tought, fillers should be bottom of the pile teams that emulates an expansion team. To specially let newbies take a chew and enjoy leagues and start performing or having a chance from the get go..
Fillers should just be scrapping bottom of the food chain players... and let human participant enjoy the game...

Fillers should not even exist, the leagues WILL eventually Fill, owners just need to be more patient, BUT if they DO exist, they should be a quality opponent - not some pile of garbage team that has no chance and skews the record of the entire League.
If you can't ne patient enough to allow the League to fill with live bodies and are so impatient to make a unilateral decision for the rest of the League to add fillers - and I have seen 4 added in 5 minutes by the same owner - I know because his team was highlighted in League home - I won't name them because technically, they are doing nothing wrong, but I now avoid his leagues because I HATE Fillers so much and I KNOW he will Fill those slots with Fillers as soon as possible
I would like Guy to set a LIMIT on how many fillers 1 owner can bring in

How can an owner add 4 fillers?
It’s my understanding that it’s not until a league reaches 10 of 12 teams that the option for an owner to add bots is available. If human teams then drop out of the league after the bots are added, additional bots can be added only by the site after a designated period of inactivity

And as a matter of opinion, I don’t mind bots. They just deepen the talent pool for the supplementary draft and waiver claim process. Leagues are still very competitive, just among 7 or 8 teams, rather than 10 to 12 teams.

I believe that as soon as a certain amount of time Passes, and there are 8 owners, the league will start allowing owners to add Fillers- You can add 1 then wait and come back say an hour later and add another until they are full

I only play auto quick draft 70’s -present and All-time greats, so I can’t speak for all the other leagues on the site. But that’s not how those leagues add bots.
