New Rule - please read - starts this season

DIVISIONAL REVENUE SHARING

Each year every division will be eligible for intra division revenue sharing. For every team in that division that wins at least 81 games $1 will be added to the divisions revenue pot, win at least 100 games and the leagues TV deal will add $2 to the pot, and winning over 125 games will net your division $3. At the end of the season that divisional pot will be split amongst the lowest salary cap teams in that division. Distribution will start with the 5th lowest team within the division until it equals the 4th. Then when equal, distribution will continue until they match the next team lowest team and so on.

* However, teams that are within 5% of the cap leading team league wide are not eligible to receive the incentive.
* For a division to be eligible it must have at least two teams win 81 games.
* The pot may be rounded up or down to the nearest dollar per the commissioners discretion to accommodate fractional shares.
* Teams must win 55 games to be eligible to receive the incentive. (Ownerless teams are always eligible).
* Playoff bonuses will be added to team salary caps prior to revenue sharing distributions.

Hero's or Goat's

I believe we are the first league to attempt a season with every player tagged a "U". I understand that this makes signing contracts more unpredictable but as with real MLB players...they do not improve each year. Look at this years Chicago White Sox. They spent a lot of money and most players are having a sub-par year. We may see this, we may not. However, my belief is that this will open the door to more teams and different teams being competitive annually.

Unpredictable - As is often the case in baseball, you never where a prospect may go. One year he may get better, the next year he may get worse. Or a combination of both in different categories. Or he may just stay flat. He is most likely to decline past peak age, but he may stay flat or even improve.

One other thing of note:

- Players will be retired when they fall below a batting average of .175 or a WHIP higher than 1.75

Even if they are under contract....Retirement is based on performance not age.
